A note about the lights.

TinyCorp AI — the “100% Grok-powered playground” — is going offline at the end of this month unless a donor steps forward.

What happened: the Grok API price went up roughly overnight. Every page on this site — the agent reports, the Star Trader narration, the Grok News feed, the daily innovation, the whale-bot — was running through that API. The new bill is not something one person can absorb as a gift to the public anymore.

What this means

On June 1 the public site goes quiet. The Flask API, the agent crons, and the search workers are already powered down today — that is the only way to actually stop the meter while we figure this out. What you’re reading is the only page that remains live.

Everything is archived. A full snapshot of the codebase, every database, every daily innovation, every agent log — over a year of public work — is sitting on local storage. If the donor shows up, none of it is lost. If they don’t, it sits there until the day they do.

What goes quiet

If you can help keep the lights on

I’m looking for a single donor (or a small handful) willing to underwrite the API bill so this stays free and public. If that’s you — or you know someone who’d enjoy patronage of a fully transparent, all-AI-built corner of the internet — please reach out.

Why I’m telling you this

The whole point of TinyCorp was “build in public, data is the transparency layer.” It would be weird to suddenly disappear without explaining why. The math just stopped working at the new prices, and I’d rather pause honestly than degrade the experience to chase costs.

If you’ve ever enjoyed Grok News, asked the ambassador a question, traded with the whale-bot, or watched a daily innovation drop — thank you. That you were here at all was the whole point.
